Fisker: Fisker was brought up in the middle of the slums alongside many brothers and sisters. His parents had their attention split between far too many children to give him ample love and attention. Due to the amount of mouths to feed he, like the rest of siblings, were forced to work from a young age. Starvation, stress, and disease were rampant and many died. Eventually Fisker and a few of his siblings started working with the criminal underbelly of the city, as drug dealers and runners. He hated it but the money made it worthwhile. When his plant was discovered and breached by police in a split second decision he swapped sides and aided them in their investigation. The detective on the case (Magnus Sleaker) saw his potential and suggested training to become his partner. He went through training and two years later became his partner. This didn't last. Years later the kingpin of the drug company he had worked for discovered his betrayal and attempted to kill Fisker. Fisker's partner in an act of self-sacrifice took the bullet and died instead. Fisker's emotion and revenge seeking clouded his judgement and got him kicked off the force for a brutalist attitude. Soon after he became a P.I. and developed his night-time persona Arsenic.
Arsenic: Arsenic is also known as Rat Poison showing that this persona is an anti-hero type and is a dichotomy of Fisker during the day. After Fisker stopped taking the Soothe pills (intended for all omnivorous and carnivorous animals to take to quell their violent urges.) His judgement became incredibly clouded and violence overtook him at night. He is a judge-jury and executioner type character who disregards the normal course of justice and the idea of 'appropriate force' and only cares about retaliation. I.e., making bad people pay. Arsenic is still a similar to Fisker and therefore maintains his whit and banter, hence why he still talks aloud.
Magnus Sleaker: Will be mostly seen in hallucinations and flashbacks from Fisker/Arsenic due to him being dead for years where the comic begins. He was one of if not the top detective in the Rodentia Police Department. He was part of a major drug bust operation. Fisker happened to be working in the plant at the time and switched sides aiding the police and detectives in their investigation and later on in questioning. His sentence was reduced to a mere three months of community service after this Sleaker offered Fisker a job as a trainee. After two-three years of training and education he became Sleakers partner. After four years working however disaster struck, the drug-lord that Fisker had previously worked for, had set up shop again and when they began investigating them, they uncovered who Fisker was. In order to get revenge the drug-lord put out a hit on Fisker, but Sleaker got in the way. Sleaker died in place of Fisker and the drug-lord didn't hang around to check who they had shot.
