LO4: Justification of how the visual style of my final product follows the conventions of graphic novels or comics in its genre

 

Here both Batman and Arsenic are perched on a rooftop/building edge looking over their respective cities. This is a clear parallel between the two characters and shows that they both wish to achieve peace by any means necessary. Batman wears a long cape whilst Arsenic wears a long trench coat. The costumes are to create enigma and makes it easier for them to hide their identity. Arsenic wears a gas mask whilst Batman uses his own custom Batman mask. The only difference is the symbolism and the status. Batman has the funds and the means to be able to create his own costume that is able to protect him and shield his identity. Meanwhile Arsenic is a makeshift hero, and has yet to make himself a symbol of peace or fear like Batman, however it would be very possible for this to be the case further down the line. The drop into the action is also common of the genre and therefore when the audience is dropped into a brand new location and introduced to a brand new character they are immediately hooked with anticipation.
