LO2: Proposal for the comic book:

The first character is also the main character called Fisker. He was brought up in the slums alongside many brothers and sisters. His parents had their attention split between far too many children to give him ample love and attention. Due to the amount of mouths to feed he like the rest of siblings were forced to work from a young age. Starvation, stress, and disease were rampant and many died. Eventually Fisker and a few of siblings started working with the criminal underbelly of the city, as a drug dealer. He hated it but the money made it worthwhile. When his plant was discovered and breached by police he aided them in their investigation. The detective on the case (Magnus Sleaker) saw his potential and suggested training to become his partner. He went through training and two years later became his partner. This didn't last. Years later the kingpin of the drug company he had worked for discovered his betrayal and attempted to kill Fisker. Fisker's partner in an act of self-sacrifice took the bullet and died instead. Fisker's emotion and revenge seeking clouded his judgement and got him kicked off the force for a brutalist attitude. He became a P.I. and developed his night-time persona Arsenic. Arsenic is also known as Rat Poison showing that this persona is a anti-hero type and is a dichotomy of Fisker during the day.

The first two pages of this comic are going to take place in the present day world, where the first one is the Arsenic/Rat Poison at night fighting in a brutalist style seeking vengeance. His outfit is made up of riot gear and bullet proof panels/armour. It is painted a grey and black camo to blend into the shadows as well as match the colour of his fur. The next page will follow the daytime Fisker who wears his usual detective garb, trilby hat and trench coat combo. We will see him reel with the actions of his aggressive night time persona the night before. We will end on the cliff-hanger of him approaching his old police station and him deciding if he will enter and ask for a case. The target audience for this comic will be for the ages of 15+ due to the dark, gritty nature of what is shown and what is said in the comic. The rating isn't for 18+ however because it is drawn and also anthropomorphised. The genre of my comic is a mixture of crime, fantasy, and action. The art style will be a semi-realist style similar to that used in the Hellraiser/John Constantine comic series. The comic is going to be published by either Marvel or DC Comics due to its genre. All characters and assets I will use will be original and therefore I wont need to seek copyright for the comic. Also advertisements or branded items that will feature in my panels I will make sure to create original or parody brand names to prevent copyright needing to be sought for that either. 

Soothe: All omnivorous and carnivorous mammals/rodents/birds etc. are obligated to take Soothe a pill designed to repress their predatory natures. Those found not taking it will be prosecuted for the first three instances after this legal action will be taken i.e., prison time for reckless endangerment and negligence. This works in conjunction with other legal proceedings i.e., if a predator is found to have not been taking the pill at the same time as being found guilty of manslaughter or abuse their sentence will be increased significantly.
